"Awakening Gratitude" September 25-27 Humbi Farm, Xai-Xai
Awakening Gratitude - a long weekend at Humbi Farm
"If the only prayer you said in your life was 'thank you', that would suffice" Meister Eckhart
A unique mindful yoga and meditation weekend
Practicing gratitude can be very positive for our lives. It has far-reaching effects, from improving our mental health to boosting our relationships with others.
MindWise and Maputo-based yoga teacher, Lisa Chatman of Lisa Yvonne Yoga, have together developed a weekend retreat at Humbi Farm in Xai-Xai to focus on how to bring more gratitude into our daily living, and how we can be grateful for what life presents us – whatever is here.
It will take place during the September long-weekend in Mozambique, with Friday September 25th being a public holiday, in the beautiful surroundings of Humbi Farm close to Xai-Xai.
During this weekend we will focus on:
- Recognising and waking up to the good things we have received
- Practicing saying ‘thank you’ to the gifts we have received from other people and the world around us and our interconnectedness and dependency we have with people and places in our lives.
- Being grateful for everything that is here, including the challenges in our lives, independent of our liking or disliking them.
We explore how we feel gratitude in both our bodies and our minds by combining mindfulness meditation, breath, and yoga practice.
Take this opportunity to reconnect with nature and yourself. Retreat, refresh, and renew, through meditation practices and gentle yoga to bring you back into balance, health, and wellness.
The retreat suits all levels, including beginners.
